Appreciated the twin room, wouldn't mind staying there all day. There were facilities such as an electric kettle, central heating and an iron. Location: the hotel was close enough to the back garden and town centre;))

Would recommend for a fleeting trip.
Clean room, cozy bed. The tv provided entertainment while the electric kettle allowed for a quick cup of tea each morning, and the convenient location made exploring easy.
Everything was great.

Clean, tidy, everything you needed. Single member of staff was very friendly and helpful
Only minor complaint would be no tea / coffee making facilities in the room

The new manageress was very attentive and helpful. We were phoned to check on our arrival time, and promptly phoned after our departure to inform us of an item we had left. She was very enthusiastic about improving the hotel after a long period of neglect and everywhere had recently been painted.
The area around the hotel building was somewhat neglected and scruffy but the manageress had ideas on what should be done.

Poor standard. The paintwork must have been carried out by Stevie Wonder. There was stain marks on the carpet and the shower door was hanging on one roller. No bar available and breakfast had to taken in the Park Hotel. It is obvious that smoking was allowed prior to the ban and you can still smell the after effects.

Very friendly front desk. A willingness to help me with issues not related to the hotel. Also, left jacket and camera in hotel room the day I left for the States.Had message on answering machine when I got home and issue was resolved the same day. Terrific room and full English breakfast!

We wanted a location on route south so picked Reading outskirts - we paid £60 for our room, which was good value for our needs but the good stuff ends there
Not very impressed here - first impression wasn't great - the first thing we saw was a couple of guys cooking a bar-b-q meal in the badly cared for hotel lawn - a rather run down house also occupied the hotel lawn. We went into the hotel which is badly in need of work. Inside the hotel wasn't much better but it was evident that work is being done here. As she gave me a room keycard I asked for a quiet room and was told that I wasn't in the countryside now!! She made to no effort to change the room that had been first offered to me - we went up to find that the room faced onto the road - although about 100m back the traffic noise was still evident and we could not open the window to cool the room as we would have had full traffic noise impact then. This place needs alot of work & would not recommend it until that work is done.

Convenient parking and decent stay
We stayed for 2 nights. The parking was a huge relief since it's free! Check-in was a bit odd, walking to the next building. Room was spacious but kinda basic. The breakfast had decent options but was lukewarm. Wifi was great though. It was okay, but I expected a bit more for the price.
